Don’t Ignore These Five Dashboard Warning Lights
When your car has a mechanical issue, it should be taken care of immediately. Often, you won’t need to guess since your vehicle will alert you with a dashboard warning light. If you see the following warning lights — or any others — in your car turn on and stay on, you should immediately schedule an appointment with the mechanics at Bernard’s Northtown Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM.
Tire Pressure Warning
If this warning light turns on, there’s a problem with your tire pressure. One or more tires are inflated to the wrong pressure. Under-inflated and overinflated tires can both cause problems and safety hazards, so check each tire with a tire pressure gauge and make sure that each is properly inflated. Schedule a service appointment if there’s an issue like an air leak.
Anti-Lock Braking System
A light that says “ABS” turning on can indicate a problem with your anti-lock braking system. This is a significant safety feature, so you need to have your brakes checked out as soon as possible.
Oil Can
A symbol that looks like an oil can indicates a problem with your oil pressure. This could mean that your oil is low or that you need an oil change. There could also be another underlying issue that our mechanics can fix for you.
Check Engine
A light that looks like your engine can turn on for several reasons. It’s hard to diagnose the problem on your own, but our mechanics can quickly figure out the issue and fix it for you.
Battery Alert Light
This looks like a battery, complete with negative and positive sides. This indicates a problem with the charging system. You want to pay attention to this because it could mean you’ll get stuck somewhere with a car that won’t start up.
If you need service or new MOPAR® parts, don’t delay. Visit our Dodge service center in Richmond, WI, and our mechanics will ensure that your car is in top shape before we get you back on the road.
