Any truck with a GVWR or Gross Vehicle Weight Rating over 26,000 pounds requires a commercial driver’s license (CDL), whether equipped with air brakes or not. If you’re unsure of your RAM truck’s GVWR, check the driver’s side door, where you’ll find a sticker listing the gross weights, axle weights, and other vital measurements.
