When you’re shopping for a new SUV, the amount of options can be inundating. For that reason, companies like J.D. Power continuously evaluate vehicles to give consumers helpful resources. Bernard’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM is outlining how the Dodge Durango stacks up on its recent study (spoiler alert: it did really well).

APEAL Study Overview

Founded in 1968, J.D. Power has established itself as a global leader in data and analytics. They’re a trusted resource for consumer insights and industry intelligence, consistently conducting research and studies to ensure they’re always providing the most up-to-date information.

Each year, J.D. Power conducts an Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout (APEAL) Study. They measure owners’ emotional attachment and level of excitement for their new vehicle. For the study, 37 attributes are measured, which include everything from the vehicle’s comfort to the thrill it provides behind the wheel.

Dodge Durango Results

For the 2025 US APEAL Study, the Dodge Durango earned top marks. It placed first for the upper midsize SUV segment. That title also helped Dodge rank second overall among mass-market brands, with a 31-point climb from last year – the most significant leap for any mass-market brand.

Reaction to the Dodge Results

Yuri Rodrigues, the senior VP of Quality at Stellantis North America, called the results “a testament to the brand’s bold identity and deep connection with its customers.” He said, “Dodge’s 31-point gain reflects our intense focus on performance, execution, and customer satisfaction. This is Dodge delivering with pride, purpose, and power.”
