The Jeep Grand Cherokee Takes on the Toyota Highlander
Choosing the right SUV in a sea of options can be challenging, but your list should always include the Jeep® Grand Cherokee, now available at our New Richmond, WI Jeep dealership. Of course, you may be considering other options too, including the Toyota Highlander.
How can you know which vehicle is best for your lifestyle and needs? Bernard’s Northtown Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM has put together this comparison to help you decide.
When Size Matters
Our midsize Jeep SUV in New Richmond, WI offers plenty of room for your family and gear. It offers two rows of seating for five and 68 cubic feet of cargo space, although the Jeep Grand Cherokee L model does offer a longer wheelbase and seating for six.
The Toyota Highlander is slightly larger, with three rows for up to eight and 84.3 cubic feet of cargo space, but it pays for that extra size with its performance.
Performance In Mind
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is all about adventure. It comes with a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine that offers 296 horsepower. If that’s not enough, the available 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine offers 360 horsepower and the Supercharged 6.2-liter V8 configuration provides a jaw-dropping 707 horsepower with a towing capacity of 7,200 lbs.
The standard 3.5-liter V6 engine in the Toyota Highlander offers 295 horsepower but has a towing capacity of only 5,000 lbs. If you want performance, the Toyota Highlander simply can’t compete.
Infotainment and Technology
The Jeep Grand Cherokee features Uconnect® 4C NAV infotainment system. It comes with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay®, Android AutoTM integration, and the SiriusXM All Access Package. Your wish list probably includes the latest technology to keep you connected.
The Toyota Highlander comes with a slightly smaller 8-inch touchscreen as well as its own Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™ integration.
